China Huaneng and CATL Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
On September 17, CATL and China Huaneng signed a strategic cooperation agreement to accelerate the development of a new type of power system and energy system.
Both parties will fully leverage their respective advantages and deepen strategic cooperation in fields such as product manufacturing, new energy, energy storage implementation, operation and maintenance, scientific research and innovation, as well as exploration of the nuclear power industry.
Wen Shugang, Chairman and party chief of China Huaneng Group, stated that CATL, as a global leader of new energy innovative technologies, has a solid foundation of cooperation with China Huaneng. It is hoped that both parties will further expand and enhance their cooperation. Focusing on the major strategic needs of the country, the two parties will deepen cooperation in areas such as joint innovation and technical standards, and contribute to the accelerated construction of a new energy system and a new type of power system.
